It is the customer's responsibility to ensure a complete and correct delivery address is supplied. We ask for a phone number for contact in case of any issues with the order or delivery.
It is also the customer’s responsibility to make sure that there is someone to accept the delivery at the delivery address within our delivery time frame.
Aphrodite's Cakes cannot accept responsibility for late or missing deliveries due to insufficient or incorrect information, or because there is no-one to accept delivery.
Please note our drivers do not go inside the actual block of apartments looking for the right door number to deliver at their doorstep; customers need to come outside when the driver gives them a ring they have arrived.
*If no one can be found at the address provided we will contact the recipient on the phone number provided and inform them of where we are able to leave the order. It can be in the front porch or a neighbour- we cannot be held responsible for the order left in those circumstances.
Please check your delivery as soon as you receive it and let us know if there are any problems. We cannot be held responsible once the order has been delivered/collected.

Please check your copy of the order carefully and let us know immediately if any items are incorrect.
It is especially important to check you have selected the correct location and date for collection or delivery.
Aphrodite's Cakes cannot accept responsibility for errors made during the ordering process by the customer.
The products ordered are fresh on the day of delivery/collection and will remain at their best for a further 24H if stored in the fridge.
Products placed in a fridge or a freezer to keep longer than we recommend are so kept at your own risk and we are not liable for any deterioration of the products in these circumstances. We use lots of fresh fruit to decorate our cakes and try and use only fruits in season. The life of fresh berries can be shorter than the life of the actual cake, we avoid using berries in warmer months to preserve the life of the cake. We cannot be held accountable for fruits used on a cake that look normal on the outside but upon consumption, it is discovered they are off.
Orders require a minimum of 48 hours notice. Wedding cakes and special or large orders require a minimum of a week notice.
The earliest possible fulfilment time is always offered when placing an online order.
You are free to express your opinion, leave your feedback and reviews, however perpetuating falsehood is a fraud and we have the right to take legal action against it. Financial reimbursement can be claimed due to consequential damages.
When placing an order on our website subsequently mean you fully agree with our terms and conditions.
If your order was been cancelled and refunded by Stripe/Paypal and the payment has been already processed it might take 5-10working days before it is refunded.
Please note sometimes you won't be able to see a transition for a refund as the money didn't even leave the account because it was quickly cancelled. If the payment was processed it might take a few days depending on your bank.
If you need assistance please google Stripe/Paypal and contact them directly(give them the long ID number next to the red writing ‘Refunded with Stripe/Paypal’) if there are any issues, we don’t deal with payment transactions.
*No copyright infringement is intended with some of the displayed images on our website. Please contact us if there is a problem and we will resolve it.
We do hope that you will be pleased with your purchase. However, if you are dissatisfied please notify our kitchen immediately at: and we will try to resolve the issue.
* It is the customer's responsibility to let us know if they have any kind of allergies/dietary restrictions or any other intolerance even if the item's description does not include it.
In the case of damaged or imperfect goods, you must retain the products and all packaging for inspection by us, we will arrange collection on the day/ or ask for photos and written email describing the issue. We cannot issue refunds on orders that we have not been given the chance to see and inspect.
Our cake packaging now is see-through so any defects can be fully seen upon delivery/collection, please point out any issues upon receiving the item; we will not be liable to any further complaints or refunds.
* We do not consider a reasonable complaint for refund if the cake does not suit your own personal taste. ' to sweet; to overpowering; 'etc. will be taken into account as feedback.
Under no circumstances will we be liable to you in respect of any complaint concerning any aspect of any product which is not raised by you within 24 hours of collection/delivery.
Aphrodite's Cakes will make every effort to create the cake you want and deliver it in perfect condition.
In the unlikely event that this does not occur, Aphrodite's Cake will take reasonable steps to rectify the situation and ensure you have a cake you are happy with.
However, Aphrodite's Cakes does not accept any responsibility for consequential costs or emotional distress due to errors with products or delivery. This does not affect your statutory rights.
*Due to their hand-made nature, the finished products may vary slightly from the images displayed. Sometimes designs are changed slightly to accommodate transportation. We have the liberty to redesign certain details and decorations if we feel it might be better.
We do not consider reasonable complaints ' this looks in the photo a little bit to the right; 'the bow was three folds instead of two'; ' this is a burgundy red and not a cherry red';' cake board is different'; 'the ribbon is not like in the photo'; 'the flowers are more open' etc. as long as it does not change completely the design and the result is not a beautiful cake. We use image filters and editing techniques that can change the original colours of the photo, as such in real life the colours might seem a bit different.
If you are a perfectionist about details please remember we are creative individuals, not machines and no cake can be reproduced identical as another/ photo; each cake is unique.
Orders placed in the last 48H cannot be amended, altered or cancelled once placed.
No amendments or additions can be made with 48 hours of order fulfilment.
We will always try to accommodate alterations requested with adequate time, but alterations to orders cannot be guaranteed.
Alternations or amendments may incur an additional charge. Please note any changes will not be guaranteed until an email confirmation has been received.
For cakes that have been booked in advance; we can only guarantee a full refund of your order up to 14 days prior to the collection or delivery date.
Please note that if you cancel between 14 days to 72hrs prior to delivery or collection date you will receive a maximum of 50% of the order total.
In the event of cancellations within 72hrs of collection or delivery, Aphrodite's Cakes reserves the right to retain the total value of the order to cover costs.
Please note if you place an order for collection or delivery within 72hrs you are ordering it in a non-cancellation period.
